Travel by Deputy Secretary Armitage to Asia-Pacific Region


Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage will travel to Japan, the Republic of Korea, the People's Republic of China, and Australia Dec. 8-14 as part of our continuing consultations with friends and allies on Iraq and efforts to ensure Iraq complies with Security Council Resolution 1441 and other relevant UN resolutions.  His meetings with senior officials in all four capitals will also include discussion of other bilateral, regional, and global issues of concern.

Deputy Secretary Armitage will be in Japan Dec. 8-10, in South Korea Dec. 10-11, in China Dec. 11-12, and in Australia Dec. 13-14.
