Agency-Specific Materials

Overview
Over 28 Federal agencies have statutes, regulations, and/or guidance that impose civil rights obligations upon recipients of Federal financial assistance from these agencies.  Below is information on these statutes, regulations, and/or guidance, classified by specific agencies.

Please note that coordination of grant-related nondiscrimination provisions prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability has been assigned to the Disability Rights Section, Civil Rights Division, Department of Justice.  Coordination of the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, which prohibits age discrimination by recipients of Federal financial assistance is the responsibility of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Consequently, the best information on these subjects can be obtained from those entities. To avoid the possibility of posting outdated information and since it is outside the scope of our assigned responsibilities in any event, we will not post information relating to age and disability discrimination here.

These agency materials constitute a work in progress and, while we are listing those laws and regulations of which we are aware for each agency listed, there may be others not yet listed here.  In addition, there is agency-specific material for federal agencies not yet listed.  We will be posting pages for those agencies in the future.
