Assistant Secretary Wayne to Announce U.S. Intent to Rejoin International Coffee Organization


On Wednesday, September 15, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs, E. Anthony Wayne, will announce the U.S. government’s intent to rejoin the International Coffee Organization (ICO).

Representatives from USTR and USAID will join Assistant Secretary Wayne at the podium. Ambassadors from many of the ICO member countries are also expected to attend.

The press briefing will start promptly at 10:00am, followed by a small reception at approximately 10:45am.

Assistant Secretary Wayne will be available for short interviews after the press announcement.
