The resources presented in this section
are provided as a helpful guide for those
who may be establishing or enhancing an
evaluation unit, particularly in the Federal
Government. As one of the largest Federal
evaluation units, OEI has had the opportunity
in the last 15 years to set up standards,
develop detailed procedures, establish
training guides, and produce other documents
beyond its basic evaluation reports. To
the extent that such documents are useful
to other evaluators, we are happy to provide
them on this website. Please feel free
to download and use this material as you
wish.

Standards/Core
Competencies |
These documents list the basic
standards for conducting an evaluation and
the core competency requirements for our evaluators.
This might be helpful as a training guide
for evaluators. |
Evaluation
Methods and Processes |
These documents offer a detailed
look into the methods and process of OEI evaluation
work. While not a blueprint for other evaluation
units, these do offer step-by-step guides
in conducting all aspects of evaluation, how
to use statistics, how to keep work papers,
and ideas on various methodological approaches. |
