The Office of Naval Research does use session cookies, i.e., tokens that remain active only until you close your browser, in order to make the site easier for you to use. The Office of Naval Research website reads your browser version and then returns a cascading style sheet (CSS) file that is specific for your browser version. The CSS file provides color and layout information for the ONR website.
