Site History and Remarks

1939-1957:

A station at river mile 1.4, South Fork Toutle River at Toutle (14241500), was operated from 1939 to 1957.

1980-1981

At county bridge 1980 to 1981, (Harry Gardner Bridge), Ungaged sampling site, 0.5 mi southwest of Toutle, 0.1 mi downstream of discontinued gaging station, and at mile 1.3. Lat: 461920, Long: 1224145. Altitude at bridge is 565 ft, from topo map. Drainage 118 sq.mi. (Dinehart, 1986)

1996:

Re-established Spring 1996, near old site. (via internal communication)
