High school students and teachers participating in the University of Florida's PFI award "Center for Environmentally Sound Solutions (FICESS)" 's Summer Environmental Enrichment Program learn from about the operation of the Leachate-Air Injection System in a Bioreactor Landfill Gas System. The project addresses innovative mechanisms for removing arsenic from soil and waste material. Professor John D. Schert is the Executive Director of the Florida Center for Solid and Hazardous Waste Management and PI for the PFI grant.
