Blending Initiative

Buprenorphine for Non-Physician Providers

Primary Goal:

To create training materials that can be used to increase awareness about Buprenorphine among non-physician practitioners. The materials include information designed to increase motivation for bringing Buprenorphine to local communities and information about what to expect when someone is treated with this medication.

Dissemination Product:

Training Manual, being developed by participating ATTCs:

Module 2: Buprenorphine/Opiate 101: Pacific Southwest ATTC
Module 3: Identification of Patients for Buprenorphine Treatment: Central East ATTC
Module 4: Coordinated Care: Southern Coast ATTC
Module 5: Treatment:
 

 

Induction and Special populations: Central East ATTC
Maintenance and Detoxification
: Pacific Southwest ATTC

Additionally, the ATTC National Office has completed a draft of the bibliography on
Buprenorphine, which will be distributed with the final package of materials.
