Over the past decade, floriculture
and nursery crops have been
one of the fastest growing U.S. agricultural sectors. Of the estimated
$44 billion in U.S. horticulture sales in 2002, floral and nursery
crops contributed about a third, or $14 billion, less than vegetables'
sales receipts of $17 billion, but more than fruits and nuts' $13
billion. ERS analyzes conditions and trends that influence supply,
demand, trade, and prices in the domestic floriculture and nursery
markets.

Crops, an annual survey of sales, quantity sold, number of growers,
and unit prices of the major floral crops in the 36 States.
