COPS funding helps redeploy existing officers into their communities and studies ways to maximize the impact they have on the people who live there. COPS funds a wide variety of strategies to advance community policing through innovative techniques and technologies. In order to use this funding to advance community policing in your jurisdiction, however, you have to apply for it.
