The Division of Enterprise and Custom Applications provides programming staff which maintains and enhances the NIH Central Accounting System (CAS), supplies the resources for querying the ADB and CAS databases, and produces the standard and special reports required by the OFM, other members of the NIH community, and external organizations.

CAS processes all accounting transactions for the National Institutes of Health. It produces a wide range of reports that detail spending within the Agency. The Office of Financial Management (OFM) uses these reports for internal and external reporting. Financial reports are generated for the Department of Health and Human Services, the Treasury Department, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Public Health Service.
