Glacier National Park Apparel
The Glacier Fund provides much needed assistance to Glacier National Park and you can help. Proceeds from Glacier Fund Apparel are used to support scientific and educational projects throughout the park.

Glacier National Park Books, Videos and Posters
The Glacier Natural History Association operates bookstores throughout the park. They also maintain a complete list of publications available year-round through their online bookstore. This non-profit organization helps fund Interpretive and educational activities throughout Glacier.

Commercial services within Glacier National Park are operated by private companies under contract with the National Park Service. These services provide opportunities for visitors to stay overnight in the park, travel from place to place within the park, or to see the park from the differing perspectives of boats, horses, and on foot. Dining facilities are available in most areas, as well as grocieries, and gift shops.

Lodging

Many Glacier Hotel


The lodges and inns located throughout Glacier National Park provide a range of accommodations. Visitors may chose from rooms in historic grand hotels dating back to the early 1900's, modern motel type accommodations, rustic cabins, or historic backcountry chalets.

Reservations are strongly encouraged. Rooms book up fast, especially for the peak months of July and August.

Boat Tours & Boat Rentals

Boat on Swiftcurrent Lake

Glacier National Park is a land of big lakes. Boat tours with commentary are available to take visitors deep into the park at Many Glacier, Two Medicine, Rising Sun, and Lake McDonald. Optional guided hikes are offered on some cruises at Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and Rising Sun. Small boat rentals available at Apgar, Lake McDonald, Two Medicine, and Many Glacier.

Bus Tours &
Hiker Shuttles

Historic Red Buses at Glacier Park LodgeGlacier Park, Inc., offers tours, and scheduled transportation, between park lodges as well as East Glacier, West Glacier, St. Mary, and Waterton (in Canada).

They also offer a hiker shuttle to locations along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, Many Glacier, and Two Medicine.

Sun Tours BusSun Tours offers interpretive tours, on air conditioned 25 passenger window coaches, highlighting Blackfeet culture. Daily service from West Glacier, East Glacier, St. Mary, and Browning. Call Sun Tours at: 1-800-786-9220 for information and reservations.

Horseback Rides Guided Horseback trips are available inside the park at Many Glacier and Lake McDonald. Contact Mule Shoe Outfitters for information and reservations.

Guided Hiking Trips Glacier Wilderness Guides , P. O. Box 535, West Glacier, MT 59936 (406) 387-5555 offers guided day hikes and backpacking trips into Glacier's backcountry for one to seven days. Custom trips are available. Camping equipment is available for rent at their West Glacier office.

Groceries, Gift Shops, and Showers Campstores carry a limited supply of grocery items and are available in the park at Apgar, Lake McDonald, Rising Sun, Many Glacier and Two Medicine.

Gift shops are located throughout the park, generally at lodging facilities. The Montana House at Apgar has provided the following link to their store http://www.shopworks.com/montanahouse.

In the park, showers are available only at Rising Sun and Many Glacier.
