What's new? AAAS Fellow Richard Anderson, Ph.D., joined the ORACBA staff in September as its newest AAAS Fellow. Prior to beginning his fellowship with ORACBA, Richard completed a postdoctoral position as a research hydrologist with the National Weather Service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. His broad experience in integrating water resources, ecological management, modeling, decision analysis, and policy complements the current ORACBA staff. Richard also brings a combination of training and research experience in integrating the technical and scientific aspects of water resources and ecosystem management with social and human values. October - ORACBA Risk Forum Mark Andersen of New Mexico State will present the results of the cooperative agreement, Risk analysis and management decisions for biological control agents: perspectives from theoretical ecology. The work was conducted as part of an ARS-led consortium, Biologically-based control for the area-wide management of invasive weeds (Carruthers et al., ARS/Albany, CA).
