Statistics of Interest

Which of the following statistics are you interested in:
When you request means or proportions, HIVnet will also report the standard error. This is a measure of how much variation is in the data. The smaller the standard error, the more precise is the estimate of the mean or proportion.
Number of patients
Inpatient Admissions:
Mean number of admissions per patient
Median number of admissions per patient
Percent of patients with no admissions
Contingency table of admissions per patient (This is a table that simultaneously classifies patients in terms of (1) number of admissions and (2) categories of a selected characteristic, like gender or race.)
Outpatient Visits:
Mean number of visits per patient
Median number of visits per patient
Percent of patients with no outpatient visits
Contingency table of visits per patient
Inpatient Costs:
Mean inpatient cost per patient
Median inpatient cost per patient
Outpatient Costs:
Mean outpatient cost per patient
Median outpatient cost per patient
Total (Inpatient and Outpatient) Costs:
Mean total cost per patient
Median total cost per patient
