How do I request a Transcript?
If you completed a Resident Course at CGSC and would like to request a resident transcript, please read all the information below and complete the form provided in block 8.

To ensure your request is not denied or delayed, it is important to pay close attention to policy statements and mailing instructions.

What If I completed a correspondence course?
To request a NonResident transcript, access the NonResident Studies (NRS) page at the link provided in block 4 or call comm (913) 758-3384 or (913) 758-3342.  DSN is 585.
1.  Does the 6 week CAS3 course get credit?
The 6-Week Resident CAS3 Course is now eligible to receive transfer credit. This new policy is grandfathered from the first six week CAS3 course 9701 to present.  However, our transcript request policies still apply.  We will only mail transcripts directly to universities with a few exceptions as stated in block 6, mailing instructions below.  6-Week CAS3 students are not issued an unofficial transcript for their records but may view a sample of what is on the transcript and you may view a sample of the 6-Week cover letter that accompanies the transcript. You may also view a description of the 6 Week course.
2.  What if I completed the 9 week CAS3 course?
Students who attended the 9-Week Resident CAS3 Course can receive a transcript.  Just read the mailing instructions below and access our on-line form.

For more information call DSN 552-2312, or commercial (913) 684-2312

5. How should I address my request?
Please ensure you provide a numbered street address, building number, or P.O. box as part of the the university address or we will be unable to process your request.  Our mailroom has an automated reader that must see a number in the next to the last line of the mailing address or it kicks it back to us.  It's also beneficial to include the name of the counselor you've been working with on the first line of the address.
6.  Will the university accept a transcript from me?
Unless the university has specifically requested transcripts be mailed to the student, transcripts will only be mailed from our office directly to the university or business for job application.  If you university had requested we mail the transcript to you, the enveloped will be embossed and signed across the seal.  The envelope must be hand carried to destinations where receiving institution will open (to maintain official status).  Justification for this request must be specified in the comments box in the request form and will be reviewed by the registrar.
7.  Can I request a copy of my transcript for my personal records?
Transcripts will not be mailed to students (exception above).  Transcripts will not be mailed to students for unofficial purposes as copies are provided upon graduation or a sample is provided on this website (6 week CAS3).  Students wishing to obtain an additional copy for their personal records are asked to obtain the copy from the receiving institution upon its arrival.  Where this is not possible, a request can be submitted to our Registrar in the comments box on the request form.
