What: | The National
Construction Safety Team (NCST) Advisory Committee, the panel
of building and fire experts established to advise the Commerce
Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology
(NIST) on its building failure investigations, will meet to hear
presentations on the progress of the agency’s two ongoing
investigations—the building collapses at New York City’s
World Trade Center (WTC) following the terrorist attacks of Sept.
11, 2001; and The Station nightclub fire of Feb. 20, 2003, in
W. Warwick, R.I.
The agenda
for the meeting is available on the NCST Web site, Sunder
will lead a brief question-and-answer period for reporters on
the WTC Concurrent
with the meeting, all presentations will be on the NCST Web
site, http://www.nist.gov/ncst. |

Directions: | Take I-270 North
to Exit 10, make a right at the traffic light and then enter NIST by turning left at the next traffic light (Bureau Dr.). Park next to the security check-in area and obtain visitor passes. After check-in, make a left at the T-intersection and follow the road around to the Administration Building. Park in the lot directly across from the building. |
