The Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) focuses on building the skills and careers of acquisition professionals and managers throughout the government.

FAI was established by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act [41 U.S.C. 405(d) and 41 U.S.C. 433] with the mission to promote professionalism in the acquisition workforce. To meet this statutory mandate, FAI supports specialized training, industry and academic research, career planning resources, education opportunities, and acquisition news, and serves as a forum for acquisition information exchange. FAI is building a community of U.S. government acquisition professionals. All agencies, any where in the world, are welcome to share information that will help benefit the professional objectives of the acquisition community.
