Technology Description:
This invention is a wood or wood veneer that resists both fire and indentation. The wood product is placed under vacuum, then treated with a monomer such as hexanediol diacrylate, a fire retardant chemical, a polymerization initiator, and an organic dye or stain. The invention can be used for flooring products, or other uses requiring increased hardness and fire resistance.
