Abstract:
The invention involves a way to produce fuel blends using enzymes to convert certain fatty acid-containing materials derived from oilseed byproducts into biofuels. These byproducts are generated during processing of oilseeds, such as soybeans, rapeseed and safflower seeds, and can be added directly to automotive fuels during the production process.
