Change in Panelist Functions Login process

The following new features for panelists will be added to FastLane effective May 29, 2004:

• Panelists logging into Panelist Functions for the first time will be prompted to change their assigned password to a new password of their own choice. After logging in, please be sure to verify that your email address, as displayed under Reviewer Information, is correct and current. Also, please strive to remember your password.
• Assistance for Panelists who forget their password:
  If a panelist forget his/her password, a panelist can request a reset of their password by clicking on the 'Forgot Password?' link located under the 'Log In' button on the Panelist Functions Login screen. After providing Panel ID, Last Name, First Name, and Email Address, a temporary password will be sent to the email address shown on the panelist's Reviewer Information screen. Panelists logging into Panelist Functions with this system generated temporary password will be prompted to select a new password of their own choice. Also, please strive to remember your password. If you forget your password at the panel and do not have access to your e-mail account, NSF will be able to assign you a new password but this process may take some time.
• Ability to change your password whenever desired:
  After logging into Panelist Functions, panelists can also change their password to a new one of their own choice. Click on the 'Change Password' button located under Reviewer Information. After typing and retyping a new password, the password will be changed. Please strive to remember your password.
