MSHA's FOIA Reading Room
As of November 1996, the E-FOIA (Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments) has required that we provide information to the public making it readily accessible via electronic format. This page will represent our effort to comply with the requirements of this amendment. It is an on-going effort. We are providing both "quick links" to information provided via our homepage menu, as well as, information unique to the Reading Room environment. Some of the information is being provided in HTML format, some is being provided in PDF. There are four major areas that we will be providing information for. They are administrative "Staff Manuals and Instructions to staff that affect a member of the public", "Final Opinions", "Statements of Policy and Interpretations", and "Hot FOIA's". Please use the directory below to go to each area. It has been suggested that we provide a link to the Department of Justice's FOIA page. DOJ maintains on its FOIA home page many publications and policy statements which have government wide applicability.
