Detroit,
MI - DEA agents and local police officers made a surprising discovery
while seizing property belonging to a large-scale marijuana trafficking
group. They found a 2000 GMC cargo van that had been converted into
a homemade armored vehicle by the suspected drug dealers. From the
exterior, the vehicle appeared to be a standard cargo van. However,
upon examining the interior of the vehicle, agents realized that the
organization had installed 3 inches of bulletproof glass around the
entire rear compartment of the vehicle. This is believed to be the
first time any vehicle such as this has been seized by law enforcement
in the United States, and the seizure exposes a dangerous new threat
to police and the public. The suspects in this case are wanted not
only for drug trafficking throughout the Southeast Michigan area,
but are also for numerous homicides. Full
