National Service Chief
To Address Conference on
Service in Indian Country

Sparks, Nev. — Les Lenkowsky, CEO of the agency that oversees community and national service initiatives, will give the luncheon address at the Conference on Service in Indian Country on November 19. The conference, "Preserving Our Past...Creating Our Future: Resources for Strengthening Our Communities," is sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service, which Lenkowsky heads.

The Conference will bring together representatives of Indian tribes, including those carrying out service programs in collaboration with the Corporation for National and Community Service, as well as other organizations and agencies interested in tribal issues. The Conference will allow tribal participants to showcase their accomplishments, share their service experiences, and develop new resources, partners, and opportunities to improve their communities.

Following his speech, Lenkowsky will be doing site visits of AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs in the Sparks area.
