PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Award-Winning Authors at National Book Festival's Pavilion of the States
WASHINGTON, DC - The Institute of Museum and Library Services again will host the Pavilion of the States at the National Book Festival on Saturday, October 9. At the popular pavilion, each state, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories will have representatives who will discuss local authors, libraries and library heritage that make their state unique. In addition, eight acclaimed book authors will appear at their state tables for media photo opportunities and booksignings.
The fourth annual National Book Festival, sponsored by the Library of Congress and hosted by Mrs. Laura Bush, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the National Mall between 7th and 14th streets. The festival is free and open to the public. For details, access: www.loc.gov/bookfest/.
Members of the media are invited to photograph and meet authors as they each make 15-minute appearances at their state tables, as described below. More details here.
