Jones and the firm were charged following the March 6, 1997, traffic death of a driver for the firm, Allen Jacobs, who had insulin-dependent diabetes. Because of his medical condition, Jacobs was unqualified to legally drive a commercial vehicle. The case was investigated by OIG and the Office of Motor Carriers. |
