Item: Federal and State Authorities File Criminal Charges Against 98 Defendants in Security Sweeps at JFK and LaGuardia Airports Date: November 19, 2002 Type: Press Release Summary: Federal authorities arrested or are seeking the arrests of 127 current or former employees at John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport in New York City in an airport security sweep. Indictments ranged from using false social security numbers and providing false information on their immigration status to failing to disclose criminal histories on their applications for airport security badges.
