NOVEMBER CONFERENCE TO HIGHLIGHT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN SERBIA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) will host a conference in November designed to demonstrate to U.S. companies investment opportunities available to them in Serbia and the surrounding region. At the center of the new South East Europe Free Trade Area, Serbia is uniquely positioned to provide companies access to a market of 60 million people in eight countries.

At the conference, Serbian officials will discuss plans to attract investment and privatize state-owned enterprises; U.S. companies will review their investment experiences in the region; opportunities in individual sectors will be outlined; and OPIC and other government agencies will explain programs to support potential American investors.
