MEDICAL READINESS EXERCISE 2004

 

U.S. Southern Command in coordination with CENAO and the Military Hospital of Nicaragua conducted an Opthalmology and Plastic Reconstructive Surgery MEDRETE during the month of July 2004 during wich 305 patiens were treated and 106 surgeries were performed. These MEDRETES were supported by the 59th Medical Wing, Willford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, the 81st Medical Group, Keesler AFB, MS, and Medical Detachment, Soto Cano AB, Honduras.

Ophtalmology:
Clinic visits: 117 patients
Surgeries: 58 patients

Cataract: 53
Strabismus: 4
Glaucoma: 1

Plastic Surgery:
Clinic visits: 82 patients
Surgeries: 48 patients
