AA/USN FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES

Progress and accomplishment in the Navy Secretariat are products of how well we manage our resources. The people assigned to your organization and the money you are allocated will determine what you achieve and, to a large extent, determine your success. This procedural guide has been written to help you in carrying out your mission.

This guide will provide an understanding of the financial management process, that is, the way it operates in the Navy Secretariat. In the following pages we will outline and briefly describe:

This document is not meant to be all inclusive. We respect the fact that many of you have years of experience with prior commands. However, we do want you to be aware of the way business is being conducted in the Navy Secretariat. Conversely, we also realize that your past experience is something from which we can all benefit.
