PBGC's Customer Service Center is available to answer specific questions about your pension plan. With one toll-free call, we can help you when you need to:
- Change your residential address or phone number;
- Change your electronic deposit information;
- Request an application for electronic deposit;
- Report a death;
- Request a duplicate Form 1099 (from 1998 to the present);
- Change Federal Income Tax withholding from your periodic benefits payments;
- Start your Federal Income Tax withholding from your periodic payments;
- Request an application for benefits; or
- Request information about our Missing Participant program.

File an Appeal (appeals@pbgc.gov) If want to file an appeal, have a question about how to file an appeal, need to request additional time to file an appeal, or want to find out more information about how to appeal a benefit or other determination. Found Pensions (found@pbgc.gov) If you find that you are in our Pension Search Directory or are a survivor of a person listed and want to receive an application for the pension benefit PBGC may be holding for you.
Further Instructions:
Provide your name, Social Security number, dates when you worked for the company, a mailing address, and a daytime and evening telephone number where you may be reached. If you are a survivor of the person listed, you will be asked similar information about yourself. Please read our Privacy Act Notice and Paperwork Reduction Act Notice before sending an e-mail to PBGC.

Missing Pensions (missing@pbgc.gov) If you have a question about locating your pension. Use this address when you:

Cannot find your name from the Search by Name page;
- Your company is not listed under Search by Company
(after first trying to contact the pension plan
administrator or the company sponsoring the plan); or
- If the sponsoring company cannot be located and you
believe the plan has been terminated.
Further Instructions:
Provide your name, address, daytime telephone number, Social Security number, date of birth, the name and location of your employer, and, if possible, the dates of employment, the name of the plan, the nine-digit Employer Identification Number (EIN) for the company that sponsored the plan, and the three-digit Plan Number (PN).
