About LINCS Hot Sites

The National LINCS team at the National Institute for Literacy and our Regional LINCS partners use the HOT Sites award program to highlight and promote the "best" Web-based resources in and for the adult basic education and literacy community. Many of the resources are from sites within the LINCS network, but we encourage the recommendation of other literacy-related Web resources for recognition.

HOT Sites has been set up to encourage open feedback among readers, including the developers of the resources. If you wish to recommend a site, we will contact you if it is accepted and let you know when it will be published as a HOT Site. HOT Sites are recognized by publishing a new HOT Sites list approximately three times a year.

Each HOT Site link is followed by a brief description of the site and a list of the subjects covered. You are invited and encouraged to give us your feedback on HOT Sites and the LINCS Network. To assist you in doing this, we have included a Make Comments button and Read Comments button for each HOT Site. Your comments are important to other users who may want to know more about similar sites or about your experiences in using the materials and information included in the HOT Site you selected.

Help us promote your favorite site by sending us the URL and a short statement of why you think your selection should be selected as a LINCS HOT Site. Please use the form on the Recommend a Site page.
