The Fair Labor Standards
Act (FLSA) does not address long-term or short-term disability insurance.
These benefits are generally a matter of agreement between an employer and an
employee (or the employee's representative).
The Department's Web site for people with disabilities,
DisabilityInfo.gov,
provides one-stop access to government disability information and resources, as
well as updates on President Bush's
New
Freedom Initiative.
Additional information on topics relevant to the people with
disabilities can be found within the Disability Resources topic.
Employee
