PHOTO RIGHT: Deputy Fire Administrator Charlie Dickinson recently addressed literacy providers and fire service members at the National Fire Academy during a seminar for pilot testing of the Home Safety Council's (HSC) Fire Safety Literacy Project - an Assistance to Firefighters Grant-funded national fire safety campaign for adults with low literacy skills. HSC's partners in the Project are ProLiteracy America and Oklahoma State University's Fire Protection Publications. The Project will effectively reach adults with the information they need to make informed decisions about fire safety for themselves and their families.
