Joint Center for Lessons Learned. The Joint Center for Lessons Learned was founded in 1997 and attained full operational capability in October 1998. Originally established under the Joint Staff J7, JCLL was eventually given dual status as a part of both the Joint Staff J7 and the USJFCOM J7 located in the Joint Warfighting Center, Suffolk, Virginia.

The mission of JCLL is to collect, process, analyze, distribute, and archive lessons learned, issues and key observations from operations, training events and other sources to enhance the combat effectiveness and interoperability of joint forces.
