Cartographic and Geospatial Technology includes the identification, development and application of emerging technologies in digital cartography, cartographic production systems, geographic information systems, digital formats and digital printing; and participates in the national and international dialogue concerning spatial standards for Office of Coast Survey (OCS) programs and projects. The applied research, development, test and evaluation program includes direct technical assistance to production cartographers as well as research and development for other NOAA resource assessment and digital imaging projects.
