What
types of maps are available?

Forest Visitor Map:
(1994) Scaled 1/2" to the mile. One half of the Forest is shown
on one side and the other half is displayed on the reverse side.
These maps include streams, roads, county lines, communities,
trails and recreation sites but do not have contour lines. These
maps are suitable for auto touring, locating sites, and general
use but are not detailed enough for backcountry travel.

Topographic Maps:
Topographic maps are available for the entire forest by section.
These maps do include contour lines and are detailed enough
for backcountry travel. Please indicate which topographic maps
you want when ordering. A
list of all of the topographic maps is available.

By mail: Map orders
can be mailed to USDA Forest Service, Forest Supervisor's
Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins WV 26241. Please enclose
a check or money order made payable to USDA Forest Service.
No sales tax is charged.
