Thomas is a comprehensive Federal legislative information
site which contains all legislation introduced into Congress
and the Congressional Record in recent years.

U.S. Senate Historian’s Office.
The Senate Historian’s Office has considerable institutional,
biographical, and statistical information available online.

Social Security Administration—Online History.
SSA has a significant collection of materials related to Social
Security programs. SSA administered Medicare from 1965-1977, prior
to the creation of the Health Care Financing Administration, (now
called Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)) and the
website has considerable material, especially about the early years
of Medicare.
