Alcohol Ban for OHV Riding Areas

Home : Projects & Plans : Recreation Management : Alcohol Ban for OHV Riding Areas

As part of a plan to provide for a safer off-highway vehicle recreation experience, the Siuslaw National Forest is banning alcohol possession in off-highway vehicle riding areas in the Sand Lake Recreation Area and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

A Federal order prohibiting possession of alcohol in off-highway vehicle riding areas, outside of developed sites and staging areas, takes effect May 1, 2003. It is anticipated the prohibition will remain in effect indefinitely.
