Iowa Children's Water Festival

The Annual Iowa Children's Water Festival is a free, one-day event, heightening the awareness of the importance of our most valuable resource - WATER. Approximately 2000 fifth graders from across Iowa participate each year. Various aspects of water-related topics are taught through presentations, experiments, exhibits, games and entertainment.
The Iowa District proudly supports the ICWF by serving on the Steering Committee and coordinating the Program and Educational Content Committees and with a representative on the Advisory Board. A number of district employees also participate the day of the festival leading the Water Jeopardy classroom presentation and in the Exhibit Hall with a demonstration of the Desdemona's Splash Water Quality and the Envrionment CD-ROM game.
