The Annual Iowa Children's Water Festival is a free, one-day event, heightening the awareness of the importance of our most valuable resource - WATER. Approximately 2000 fifth graders from across Iowa participate each year. Various aspects of water-related topics are taught through presentations, experiments, exhibits, games and entertainment. |
The Iowa District proudly supports the ICWF by serving on the Steering Committee and coordinating the Program and Educational Content Committees and with a representative on the Advisory Board. A number of district employees also participate the day of the festival leading the Water Jeopardy classroom presentation and in the Exhibit Hall with a demonstration of the Desdemona's Splash Water Quality and the Envrionment CD-ROM game. |
