Tours of students, youth groups, scouts, seniors, military, veteran
and other organized groups may be arranged by the group organizer
directly through the Office of Public Affairs at the Denver Mint at
(303) 405-4759,

Instructions to process tour requests for the Denver Mint for
individuals/families and groups of 15 or less.
Submit form via fax to
the United States Mint Legislative Affairs
Office, Washington D.C. (202) 756-6830 at least 21 days before the
requested tour date. Necessary security information (see below) must
be included with the original request.
The Legislative Affairs Office will return the fax to you within five
business days of receipt notifying you of the availability of the tour.
The requesting Congressional office is responsible for contacting the
visitors
and confirming the tour date and time. Please be
sure to inform the visitors of all rules and security procedures. The

Thank you for your interest in touring the United States Mint.
Please review carefully the following instructions for your visit.

All visitors must arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled tour
time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.

All visitors 18 years of age, or older will be required to present
photo identification, such as driver’s license or passport.

Purses,

Fanny packs,

Strollers,

Food or beverages of any kind

Cameras,

Video recorders or any type of recording device,

Personal grooming items (make up, hair brush or comb,
lip or hand lotions, etc.),

Any pointed objects (pens, knitting needles, etc.),

Electric stun guns,

Martial arts weapons/devices,

Knives of any size.
You may
bring a ‘palm’ sized wallet/change purse (the size of a
man’s folded wallet) to hold money, i.d., credit cards etc. No
checkbook organizers/day timers or larger wallets – nothing
(any size) that has a shoulder strap.
The United States Mint Police reserves the right to prohibit
any other personal items. The Mint will not provide coat or
package check facilities.
All persons and items entering the United States Mint will be
screened through a security process. Individuals may be requested
to consent to an interview or additional security procedures before
they are admitted to the United States Mint facility.

The United States Mint at Denver is at 320 West Colfax
Avenue. Going either north or south on I-25, take the Colfax Avenue
exit and go east on West Colfax, away from the mountains, you should
see the gold dome of the state capitol to the east. The mint is 1.5
miles east on the right hand side between Delaware and Cherokee
Streets. All visitors enter on Cherokee Street, on the east side of
the building. The Mint does not provide parking. Public lots and meters
are available in the area.
