Regional Resource Stewardship Council to Meet January 21 and 22

The Regional Resource Stewardship Council will meet in Knoxville Jan.
21 – 22 to discuss and obtain views and advice on TVA’s practice of involving the public in decision-making on natural resources issues.

The council, created to advise TVA on the management of natural resources in the Tennessee Valley, will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in TVA’s West Tower Auditorium.

TVA will discuss its current role in involving the public in decision-making, and the council will hear perspectives from investor-owned utilities, private companies and other federal agencies during the two-day meeting. View meeting agenda.

Council meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period, which is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21.

Anyone wanting to make comments at the meeting should register at the door. Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to no more than five minutes. Up to an hour will be allotted for public comments, with participation available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handout materials should be limited to one printed page.
