We serve the 20 Midwestern and Northeastern States, plus the District of Columbia. We work with State forestry agencies and many other partners to influence the wise management, protection and sustainable use of urban and rural natural resources.

About Our Forests:

The geographic region we serve is 40 percent forested, contains nearly half of the Nation's population, yet comprises less than 20 percent of the Nation's land area. Over 90 percent of the forest land in this region is in State and private ownership. The majority of our financial and technical assistance is targeted to state and private landowners.
