Title:     NAEP 1994 Trends in Academic Progress
Description:     This report provides additional data about trends in science, mathematics, reading, and writing. These results chart trends going back to the first year in which each NAEP assessment was given: 1969/70 in science; 1973 in mathematics; 1971 in reading; and 1984 in writing. In science, mathematics, and reading, students were assessed at ages 9, 13, and 17. For the writing portion of the assessments, testing was done by grade rather than age, at grades 4, 8, and 11.
