Advanced Vehicle Testing and Evaluationa) This area of interest is for projects for conducting field evaluationsofadvanced vehicles and the development of new test procedures and/ormodifications of existing test procedures necessary to accomplish theperformance evaluations.   The scope of the work shall include baselineperformance,  accelerated reliability, and fleet testing ofstate-of-the-artlight-, medium-, and heavy-duty advanced technology vehicles and therequiredvehicle-to-infrastructure interface required for fueling vehicles with oneormore advanced technologies, including:i. Internal combustion engines burning advanced fuels, such as 100%hydrogenand hydrogen/compressed natural gas (H/CNG) blended fuels.ii. Hybrid electric, pure electric, and hydraulic drive systems.iii. Advanced batteries and engines.iv. Advanced climate control, power electronic, and other ancillarysystems.b) It is expected that one (1) cooperative agreement will be awarded inthisarea of interest.  Projects should be proposed with five 12-month periodsfor atotal project period of performance of 60 months.c) It is estimated that a total of approximately $4.5 million in DOE fundswillbe available for the entire performance period for the award in this areaofinterest.d) Applications in this area of interest are to be structured to includethefollowing five (5) tasks:Task 1:  Advanced Technology Vehicle Test Procedure DevelopmentTask 2:  Baseline Performance Testing of Advanced Technology VehiclesTask 3:  Accelerated Reliability Testing of Advanced Technology VehiclesTask 4:  Fleet Testing of Advanced Technology VehiclesTask 5:  Additional Procedure Development, Testing or Test Supporte) The minimum Recipient cost share is 50% for Tasks 1-4 and 0% for Task5.
