The goal of the West Virginia Community Development Program is to help rural families and communities grow and sustain a more vibrant and rewarding quality of life. Through our Community Development Program, we promote local vision, planning, leadership and initiatives that support self-sustaining, long-term holistic community and economic development. Our technical assistance resources support strategic development activities and collaborative efforts among all stakeholders. Community Development is guided by a belief that…

Local people must address local problems,
Each person should be treated as a resource,
The goal of community development is to help people help themselves.

For more information about our Community Development Program, visit West Virginia EZ/EC or contact Jim Anderson, Rural Development Coordinator at James.Anderson@wv.usda.gov
