Office of Emergency Management Security Office

The Security Branch of the Office of Emergency Management focuses on ensuring building physical security at the GSA headquarters building, including but not limited to:

  • identifying and implementing building safety measures,
  • issuing identification credentials using “smart card” technology,
  • coordinating security and crime incident investigations, 
  • operating the lost and found desk,
  • serving as the Occupant Emergency Coordinator for the GSA headquarters building,
  • administering programs for ridesharing and parking for GSA associates in the Washington DC area, and
  • coordinating with the Department of State on the issuance of passports for GSA employees nationwide and their dependents.
