Funding Source

It is important for sites to provide information about their business operations to help visitors make their own judgments about whether sites are credible and trustworthy.

1. How is the site funded?

  • Does the site charge a fee to companies for listing their trials? Or is the site paid a fee for each participant who signs up for a trial through the site? Is it funded through venture capital? Or from charitable donations?

2. Does the site list information about the company or agency that developed the site?

  • Does the company description explain why the site was created?
  • Does it describe the site developer's business model 3 or provide a copy of the developer's annual report?
