The 24 th National Veterans Wheelchair Games were held in St. Louis, Missouri, June 15-19, 2004.  Congratulations to the 518 military veterans who participated in this year’s event, from 45 states, Puerto Rico and Great Britain.  The spirit, determination and athleticism they displayed during the Games has inspired us all.  Many thanks to all of the athletes, their families, friends, sponsors, staff and volunteers who made the 2004 National Veterans Wheelchair Games an outstanding success.  May you all continue on your own “Gateway to Victory” in all the days ahead.
