Body mass index (BMI) is measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women.

  • Enter your weight and height using Standard or Metric measures.
  • Click on compute and your BMI will appear in the heart of the figure.
  • See "Assessing Your Risk" for the health risks associated with overweight and obesity.
  • Limitations of the BMI.

BMI Categories:

  • Underweight = <18.5
  • Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
  • Overweight = 25-29.9
  • Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater
