The Defense Finance and Accounting Service - Pensacola
Site was activated July 21, 1995, as part of the consolidation
of service finance and accounting
operations. It is located onboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida,
the winner of the 2003 Commander in Chief's Installation
Excellence
Award and home of the Navy's premier flight demonstration team the
Blue Angels.
Directed by Shirley McConnell, the Pensacola Site is located in Pensacola, FL.
The Pensacola Site is responsible for finance and accounting
services of about 200 activities including:
Naval activities

- Commander Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command

to these customers, DFAS Pensacola also partners with its

Civilian Pay
- Paying 250,000 payroll accounts worldwide with bi-weekly
gross earnings of more than $600 million
- Working to properly service
and pay the worldwide base of DoD civilian employees.
Vendor Pay
- Processing more than 805,000 Lines of Accounting annually
- Processing over 1.3 million commercial invoices for
DITCO
Accounting
- Producing 2,241 United States Standard General Ledgers
Monthly
- Overseeing 142 billion in fund authorizations
- Serving as an information hub for the derivation of
accurate, decision-relevant financial information by
providing query creation and support.
